Court bars INEC from de-registering parties

A court sitting in Abuja has barred the Independent National electoral Commission, INEC, from de-registering political parties.

Justice Gabriel Kolawole of the Federal High Court in Abuja gave the ruling on Monday.

Some political parties had earlier been de-registered by the electoral body.
